Crossing the edge

Engaging with the concept of pedagogy as medium, Periferry conducted several experiments in terms of workshops, seminar and other forms to test the "pedagogical turn ". In this context, our first event CEMA PAAR @periferry was organized in Guwahati in November 2010, at Periferry, M.V.Chandardinga, off Sukreswar Ghat and in Shillong in November 2010, at Sikkim Manipal University, Shillong Centre, Khar Malki, Nr Law College.

CEMA PAAR is a series of events that the Center for Experimental Media Arts (CEMA) organized at various locations. The events tried to open up CEMA's approach + philosophy and showcase some of the projects which have been developed across the last three years.

The program included a slide-show on art and design projects from around the world that have extended the notions of the role that practitioners can perform in society. It also included a workshop in which some skills for making quick interactive objects using Arduino (an open physical computing platform) was shared.
